Releases is a video work from 2022 consisting so far of five single videos and accompanying objects.

The works deal with an act of letting go. Chairs are objects that offer a very specific, designed place, they invite the body to rest, stay, pause. We sit down and give off. In a way we choose to become a place, that place – and with it, time.
Dismantling this object by destruction is a call into question of the object itself: Do we need something other than ourselves to get in that specific state of body and mind? Releases therefor is a gentle emphasis of independency.
